Patients facing a new treatment are often anxious, and that anxiety is usually about the unknown, not the medicine itself. This script was written to meet patients there: a friendly registered nurse named Katy guides the viewer, in plain language, through exactly what will happen, step by step.

How the script is structured

The video moves through a clear, reassuring arc:

  • Introduction: a warm welcome from Katy, who establishes trust as an experienced nurse and guide.
  • What is this treatment? a plain-language explanation of what the medicine is, how it’s given, and why a clinician may have prescribed it.
  • How to prepare: practical, calming guidance that walks through each step “to help you feel more comfortable.”
  • What to expect at the visit: what the treatment setting is like, how it differs from a hospital or doctor’s office, and what happens on arrival.
  • After your visit: what to expect afterward and how to follow up.

Writing for health literacy

Every scene pairs a spoken script with on-screen direction and imagery notes, so the production team can match tone, pacing, and visuals to the patient’s emotional state. The language is deliberately simple, second-person, and empathetic, designed to lower anxiety, build confidence, and improve the odds that patients show up and stay on therapy.
